Technical Assistance Networks
TWC has organized a technical assistance network to link individuals and organizations supporting systems reform and community development initiatives. In addition, TWC has been working with various federal agencies to strengthen their technical assistance capacity to systems reform and community development activities.
TWC Technical Assistance Network
TWC has developed a data base of more than 225 organizations across the country which offer technical assistance of varying types to community collaboratives. This data base is available at a cost of $10.00.
Federal Technical Assistance
The TWC partners convened a seminar on federal technical assistance jointly with the White House Partnerships for Stronger Families. More than 60 representatives of federal agencies and TA contractors attended. TWC published a synthesis of that seminar which has been disseminated to all participants. A copy is available for $10.00.
TWC is now working with the Health Resources and Services Administration as part of their community systems building technical assistance efforts.
Teams of Technical Assistance Providers
TWC is committed to fielding diverse teams of technical assistance providers whose personal experience, knowledge and expertise reflect the demographic characteristics of communities being served and the diversity of the membership of community collaboratives. To this end, we have established a cadre of individuals from different groups who are experienced in collaborative community processes and have knowledge of the programs and systems which we are endeavoring to change.
TWC Training Package
To expand this group, TWC has developed a training package to orient consultants and trainers in the use of TWC resource materials, in addition to strengthening their technical assistance skills. A priority for TWC is to use this package to expand the diversity of technical assistance consultants.
